Job Description

  • Location: Darwin
  • Status: Fulltime Fixed Term Contract (3 Years)

About the Role

Provide strategic and operational leadership to grow the impact of the NLCs Community Planning & Development (CP&D) program ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of service delivery. Manage a diverse team to provide high quality engagement planning advocacy governance and project management support to Aboriginal groups in the Top End. Implement strategies to maximise access to sustainable social cultural environmental and economic benefits for Traditional Owners.

What You Will Bring:

You will have a previous background in community engagement program delivery and evaluation. Youre confident leading a team keeping projects on track and managing budgets with care. You can build rapport with diverse groupswhether its staff Traditional Owners (TOs) Government reps or partner organisationsand you bring a calm clear approach to problemsolving and direction.

In Addition to this we are looking for:

  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in project management in a community context.
  • A minimum of three (3) years senior operational leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in a culturally responsive way within an Aboriginal and/or international development context preferably involving capacity building selfdetermination and/or participatory planning.
  • Excellent understanding of governance and decisionmaking systems corporate governance negotiations and agreementmaking.
  • C Class drivers licence.

We offer:

  • Annual Salary: Minimum $135K plus 14.5% Superannuation (Negotiable)
  • Salary packaging benefits of up to $15900 and additional Meal Entertainment
  • Generous leave entitlements such as 5 weeks annual leave 18 days personal leave per annum and paid Christmas shut down.
