This extended time paired with a disciplined and focused atmosphere enables MVRCS to fulfill its mission of providing every student with access to a worldclass education.K8 Music Teacher Job DescriptionMystic Valley Regional Charter School seeks a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to lead its Kindergarten through 8th Grade music program. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who inspires students fosters a lifelong appreciation for music and cultivates fundamental musical knowledge and Responsibilities:Implement the K8 music curriculum aligned with Core Knowledge standardsDeliver engaging goaloriented instruction that encourages student participation and growthAssess and monitor student progress through regular evaluations and prepare report cards as requiredCollaborate weekly with fellow Specials Department educators and maintain ongoing communication with the assigned Assistant DirectorCreate and maintain a positive wellmanaged classroom environment using the schools assertive discipline modelParticipate actively in staff meetings and professional development sessionsTake on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant DirectorQualifications:Bachelors degree in Music or Music Education (required)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to assess student needs and adjust instruction accordinglyStrong analytical and problemsolving abilities to support datadriven teachingProven ability to develop positive relationships with students families and colleaguesUnderstanding of applicable education regulations and adherence to MVRCS policiesHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectivelyDeep knowledge of music pedagogy curriculum planning and best teaching practicesCapacity to create inclusive highquality lessons that support diverse learnersSuccessful completion of all required MTEL exams within one year of employmentU.S. work authorization requiredThis is a fulltime annually appointed position subject to yearly performance Opportunity Statement:Mystic Valley Regional Charter School is an equal opportunity employer.
