Job Title: Music Lesson Instructor Piano
Status: Exempt Parttime School Year
Department: Music Program
Reports to: Director of Music and the Assistant Director of Music

St. Pauls School Music Program seeks a highly qualified piano instructor to be part of our outstanding music program and work with exceptional high school students. Candidate must demonstrate superior playing skills with a strong knowledge of piano pedagogy to join our studio staff of 20 professional musicians. The instructor will teach weekly music lessons for the piano to high school students of varying ability and experience. The instructor will observe the lesson schedule established by the music program monitor attendance assign grades and offer written feedback to students and parents regarding progress and goals. Assist students in preparation for performances as needed.

While performing the duties of this job employee must be able to stand stretch bend walk and climb stairs. Employee must also be able to talk and hear use fingers and hands to feel objects tools or controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is that of a typical office. Some exposure to outdoors resulting from movement from one location to another. Nine month position with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Schedule may vary according to St. Pauls School needs.
