Job Description

Amazon Robotics is located in the greater Boston area the epicenter of robotics innovation. Our diverse team of engineers come from all over the world to design test and build our dynamic fleet of robots and mechatronic systems. Having our offices labs test floors and factories all colocated means that we can design the hardware write the code test build and watch it all come to life. This allows us to innovate quickly and on limitless ideas. Current advancements are underway in autonomous movement and mobility artificial intelligence and machine learning manipulation simulation robotic management software predictive analytics and much more.

Are you inspired by solving complex supply chain challenges Do you have a passion for driving operational excellence through process improvements and automation We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to optimize production planning lead strategic initiatives and partner across the organization to delight our customers.

At the core of the Production Planner role is driving endtoend planning excellence through the strategic implementation of advanced supply chain planning technology and optimized workflows. This leader serves as a subject matter expert guiding the technical transition from legacy systems to a modern integrated planning platform. They will oversee the execution of critical planning processes including finite production scheduling material requirements planning capacity planning and inventory optimization. The Production Planner partners crossfunctionally to streamline planning processes eliminate manual tasks and enhance planning capabilities to improve customer service reduce costs and optimize working capital. They will leverage data analytics and automation to generate more realistic and achievable plans that align with the companys strategic objectives.

Key job responsibilities
Create and maintain finite capacity production schedules considering equipment labor and material constraints
Perform sequence optimization to minimize changeovers and maximize manufacturing throughput
Develop and maintain shortterm mediumterm and longterm capacity models
Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks through constraint analysis and simulation
Monitor and manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize working capital
Participate in S&OP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts
Release and manage work orders through their complete lifecycle
Setup and maintain Bills of Distribution and Sourcing Rules
Leverage planning systems and analytics to generate optimized supply plans
Develop capacity modeling tools using SQL Python and visualization platforms
Monitor KPIs including schedule adherence inventory turns and supplier delivery
Collaborate with manufacturing procurement and logistics on supply plan execution
Partner with engineering on routings and resource rates for capacity planning
Communicate supplyrelated risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
Support new product introduction projects for supply planning requirements

3 years of professional experience in production planning supply chain or a related field
Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes
Excellent problemsolving and process improvement skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence crossfunctional teams
Demonstrated experience leading complex crossfunctional projects
Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies
Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights
Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
Bachelors degree in manufacturing supply chain management industrial engineering or a related technical field

Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space (e.g. IoT machine learning)
Masters degree in supply chain management industrial engineering or a related technical discipline
