Restaurant Manager

The Tasman a Luxury Collection Hotel Hobart is seeking a highly experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead the operations of our signature restaurants such as Peppina and oversee our function services. This role is pivotal in maintaining and exceeding service and brand standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Managing DaytoDay Operations

  • Oversee all daily operations of Peppina and function services.
  • Understand associates roles well enough to perform duties as required.
  • Manage associates and solicit feedback to proactively address concerns.
  • Identify development needs of team members and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • Review resourcing levels to ensure guest service operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of The Tasmans strategies for the department.
  • Create an environment for associates that aligns with The Tasmans culture modelling professional behaviour standards.
  • Lead influence and encourage others; advocate sound financial/business decisionmaking; demonstrate honesty and integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies food and beverage policies standards and procedures.
  • Control costs minimise waste and initiate corrective actions.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the department.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Venue Manager & Director of Operations

Ensure Exceptional Customer Service Levels

  • Empower associates to provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage service delivery in outlets to ensure seamless service from point of entry to departure.
  • Handle customer problems and concerns.
  • Incorporate guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings.

About You

  • Qualifications in Business or Hospitality Management and/or equivalent 2 years experience in a similar leadership position in a premium venue.
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA Tasmania).
  • High energy agile and proven record of driving results.
  • Strong leader with proven success in building effective teams and empowering people to reach their full potential.
  • Impeccable attention to detail organisational skills and commercial acumen.
  • Knowledge of local and international wines spirits and beers.
  • Flexible reliable and punctual with the ability to work late nights and weekends.
  • Passion for the industry and strong customer focus with proven ability to deliver personalised and customercentric solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to manage budgets and P&L.
  • Good understanding of employment and work health and safety practices.
  • Able to demonstrate the capacity to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
