Job Description
Responsibilities
We are searching for a Laboratory Supervisor.
The Laboratory Supervisor will report directly to the Quality Manager and will be responsible to:
- Assign and direct the work of the laboratory personnel.
- Provide administrative and technical support for laboratory personnel.
- Provide orientation and train.
- Schedule goals and objectives and evaluate performance.
- Provide support for the quality assurance program.
- Review and validate analytical data that is reported to the Transportation Department the Management Department and other Departments as required.
- Coordinate sample collection.
- Coordinate develop and implement plans and quality assurance activities in the laboratory.
- Track inventory on lab resources and consumables.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications
- BA or BS in Chemistry or related Technical Discipline or equivalent experience (5 plus years of lab experience in the cement or lime industry).
- Ability to supervise and direct the work of others produce analytical results in a timely manner and take corrective personnel actions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Must possess proficient math skills.
- Knowledge of theory and principles of chemistry.
