DescriptionThe Quality Outcomes Analyst is responsible primarily for reviewing data including charts and databases to identify operational and medical staff opportunities for improvement. The Quality Outcomes Analyst monitors federal state and JCAHO regulatory agency requirements as they relate to Performance Improvement. The Quality Outcomes Analyst assists hospital staff senior leadership and physicians with functions requiring measurement and data analysis.
Responsibilities- Data Review and Program Effectiveness Analysis
- Performs the functions of performance improvement as they relate to core measures medical staff quality internal and external quality reviews and root cause/intense analyses. Designs and implements efficient and effective processes to meet the outcomes related to these functions. Maintains accurate and timely documentation.
- Plans for and collects patient data related to clinical outcomes.
- Performs data analysis in support of evaluation of clinical outcomes data.
- Gathers data on safety and performance metrics to facilitate the review of program effectiveness.
- Utilizes performance improvement methodologies to promote evidencebased practice and patient safety initiatives.
- Analyzes clinical processes and data to evaluate and recommended patient safety initiatives.
- Quality
- Evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical practice guidelines organizational standards and regulatory/accreditation bodies.
- Responsible for knowing the patient safety and performance improvement regulatory/accreditation bodies compliance standards.
- Leads RCA/RCI and FMEA teams as directed.
- Consultation and Partnership
- Responsible for the coordination and submission of data to external vendors including but not limited to core measures hospital association initiatives and QIO initiatives. Continuously analyzes the data to ensure data integrity identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepares and reports actionable outcome to appropriate clinical and/or medical staff leadership.
- Participates in key quality and patient safety committees to coordinate patient safety initiatives identify and act on opportunities for improvement and encourage a blame free culture for reporting events.
- Observes staff practices to identify process breakdowns prior to unfavorable trends and events occurring. Makes recommendations on potential projects based on data and observations.
- Acts as a change agent by leading project teams.
- Consults educates and empowers others by using data comparisons.

Qualifications- 5 years experience
- Associates degree of Nursing
- Current Louisiana RN license (with no restrictions)
