Summary
Assists Medical Examiner and Hospital Pathologists with autopsy preparations. Prepares bodies specimen of human organs and autopsy suite to assist pathologists in post mortem examination.
Education
High school or equivalent (GED).
Certification Registration and Licensure
None required.
Experience
None required. Laboratory experience highly desired.
Responsibilities
Perform dissecting duties such as opening skull and removing brain and assisting in taking cultures and
blood.
Prepare autopsy room instruments supplies and specimen containers.
Maintain morgue and autopsy room in (ready) condition for use by pathologists.
Maintain surgical pathology specimen storage area.
Demonstrates compliance with corporate departmental and jobspecific requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
