Amazon is looking for a Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst (Prime Air) who will be responsible for managing Prime Airs global trade compliance program and drive import and export control initiatives and implementations. As part of the Prime Air team this role will engage with different business stakeholders to understand and improve import and export processes mechanisms and build upon policies processes and help scale solutions.

This role includes interacting with and influencing a variety of internal and external stakeholders including Engineering Operations Procurement Supply Chain Legal Tax Public Policy and other partners.

Key job responsibilities
Work with Amazons Global Trade Services team to build and manage a scalable endtoend global import compliance program
Work with Amazons Global Trade Services to execute strategy drive and enforce global import/export processes seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies
Provide high judgment and subject matter expertise on US and nonUS export control and Customs regulations
Develop and maintain import/export compliance work instructions policies and procedures and processes
Drive innovative solutions and create requirements to further enhance and automate compliance for different types of imports and exports
Apply US & nonUS export control regulations and drive continuous improvements
Create metrics for management reporting
Own leadership communications to stakeholder teams and executive leadership
Customs brokerage management and escalations

The successful candidate will help drive the import/customs compliance program for Prime Air and be an innovative compliance leader experienced in diving deep into complex areas of import/export. The candidate will leverage strong subject matter expertise a passion for new challenges be creative selfdirected and a great team player. Candidates should drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams global to solve problems and drive standardization.

Bachelors Degree
5 years of direct experience with import/customs compliance in an aerospace technology or electronics related industry as well as export compliance
Successfully designs and builds mechanisms to improve efficiency reduce compliance risk and drive growth at scale
Ability to use data to assess risk and impact and analyze tradeoffs

MBA Degree Advanced Degree or US Customs Brokerage License are a plus but are not required
Experience driving worldwide crossfunctional end to end projects independently
Consistently demonstrates sound judgment and takes action even in highly ambiguous situations
Delivers clear concise updates in meetings and in documents to stakeholders
Subject matter expertise in classification valuation country of origin special trade programs and export controls
Strong attention to detail and the ability to selfstart and selfmotivate
Experience in working with technology and automation to develop innovative solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
