Objective:

Caregivers can work independently in client homes or for a healthcare facility providing personal care to patients. They typically travel to a clients home and help them perform basic domestic tasks like cleaning and activities of daily living such as bathing and providing them with companionship and emotional support.

Job Description:

• Provide clients with companionship socialization and mental stimulation
• Transport clients to and from appointments errands activities etc.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing dressing toileting and personal hygiene
• Assistance with transfers & ambulation
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepareand cook meals

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Experience with dementia care;Alzheimers;Parkinsons
• Empathy and the ability to care for the clients social emotional physical and mental needs
• Ability to respond to an emergency situation.
• Physical ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to carry lift or pullup to 50 pounds while avoiding injury from transferring repositioning or lifting patients.
• Ability to occasionally push/pull objects up to 50 pounds and to bend/kneel to complete activities.
• Physical strength and stamina.
