The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Postdoctoral Research Fellow for a Level B researchonly position. This role is part of an exciting project titled The Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in North India. As a Research Fellow you will engage in independent and collaborative research focused on understanding the adoption and impact of agricultural technologies developed by the CGIAR system.
This project offers unique data collection opportunities including largescale agricultural household surveys measurement experiments (such as DNA fingerprinting for plant variety identification) and impact studies on various agricultural innovations.
Your key responsibilities will include research design fieldwork and quantitative data analysis. The role offers ample scope for developing and implementing innovative survey and experimental strategies. As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong statistical analysis and manuscript preparation skills a strong track record of refereed publications and a demonstrated trajectory of leadership capability. You should be able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary and crosscultural team possess excellent organisational and communication skills and work collegially with other staff. Advanced computer skills including experience with analytical software like Stata R or Python are essential. The ideal candidate will also have experience with geospatial tools.
Additionally you will have experience designing and managing largescale surveys in the field experiments survey design and strong skills in applied microeconometrics and causal inference. An understanding and/or prior involvement with the CGIAR system and agricultural innovation research in the Global South would be highly regarded particularly combined with experience leading multicountry impact assessments and working in partnership with international agricultural research institutions.
