Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must hold a current MA RN license and BLS certification.
- Candidate must be able to work autonomously in a fast paced work environment and be able to prioritize/triage.
- Candidate must understand the stages and processes of child development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Intervene to promote maintain or restore health and prevent illness.
2. Provide first aid and emergency support and treatment to injured students and refer to PCP or emergency services when indicated.

4. Provide staff with initial first aid due to injury on school grounds and refer to PCP or emergency services.
5. Respond to emergencies in the building triage and activate EMS.
6. Coordinate and complete MDPH mandated screenings: vision hearing BMI scoliosis and SBIRT.
7. Responsible for completing and submitting MDPH Immunization Compliance survey Asthma and Diabetes Survey.
8. Responsible for administering prescribed daily PRN and OTC medications and prescribed physician ordered medical care to students.
9. Responsible for developing and maintaining student Individual Healthcare Plans Emergency Action plans and Medication Administration Plans.
10. Collaborate with other health care providers educational staff parents and students.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY: In accordance teachers contract.
