Area Germany is part of the Maritime Region West Europe. The Area offers Maritime classification services through 120 committed employees in eight German locations with its headquarters in Hamburg. Services delivered are Newbuilding (NB) as well as Classification and Verification of Material and Components (CMC/VMC) while Fleet in Service (FiS) is organized in a separate service line across the Region.
We are looking for a CMC/ VMC Surveyor to join our team in the Passau area reporting to the local Team Lead.
Main responsibilities:
- Certification and verification of materials and components for marine and offshore applications under class and nonclass related systems and processes
- Assessment and auditing of production capabilities at manufactures acc. to different maritime schemes
- Managing our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization and technical responsibility for individual selected customers as well as sales supporting activities together with the DNV line management
- Projectorientated work cooperation in interdisciplinary verification projects
- Marketing work for identifying additional VMC opportunities

QualificationsPosition Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical/electrical/marine/ Naval Engineering (or other relevant disciplines)
- Valid qualification and good knowledge as CMC/VMC Surveyor desirable
- Valid qualification as Welding Engineer desirable
- Experience within the Maritime industry
- Valid drivers license required and acceptable driving record meeting company requirements
- Depending on technical profile we will be willing to support your competence development to obtain the necessary MTAS elements
