Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor the SAP Basis team providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- System Administration: Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of SAP systems ensuring optimal system performance and stability.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze system performance identifying and resolving issues to ensure the availability and reliability of SAP systems.
- Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute system upgrades patches and enhancements to maintain the SAP landscape and support business requirements.
- Security Management: Implement and manage security policies and procedures to protect SAP systems and data from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP Basis processes system configurations and operational procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with functional and technical teams business stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment of SAP Basis activities with business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with SAP Basis advancements industry trends and best practices to continuously improve system performance and business processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 710 years of experience in SAP Basis administration with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP Basis administration including installation configuration and maintenance of SAP systems (ECC S/4HANA BW etc.).
- Strong understanding of database administration (Oracle SQL Server HANA etc.).
- Experience with operating systems (Linux Windows Unix) and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of SAP security performance tuning and disaster recovery strategies.
- Project Experience: Proven experience leading SAP Basis projects from requirements gathering to implementation and support.
