Construction Management Representative

Location: BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK TX; including Panther Junction or Rio Grande Village

Period of Performance: Estimated 365 days; end date December 2025

Salary Range: $80k$95k annually based on experience

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Managerfor an exciting opportunity at Big Bend National Park. We are always looking for hardworking professionals to join our diverse workforce and gain experience on a large variety of projects.

Project/Position Overview:

• Purpose: Replace the existing aging distribution system and to upgrade it as necessary to meet current fire flow and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulatory requirements.
  • Design water distribution system to meet fire flow and minimum pressure requirements through hydraulic modeling.
  • Construct water distribution improvements including the rehabilitation of water storage tanks (interior and exterior) distribution piping valves service connections flow meters pressure reducing valves sampling stations and fire hydrants.
  • Provide instrumentation and control improvements which includes but not limited to Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system updates replacement of existing instrumentation installation of additional instrumentation for monitoring and process control and radio communication modifications.
  • Construct electrical improvements including backup power to maintain operation of supply production to the area lightning protection and power for new equipment.
  • Water meters shall be designed to accommodate and be integrated with future water meter improvements in Chisos Basin and Oak Springs. Meters and supporting equipment should allow for integration between all locations.

• Purpose:Connect two dead end branches of the existing distribution system with new piping to provide a looped distribution system. In addition to the looped system all meters in Rio Grande Village will be replaced. Water meters shall be designed to accommodate future water meter improvements in Chisos Basin and Oak Springs. Meters and supporting equipment should allow for integration between all locations (Chisos Basin Oak Springs and Panther Junction).

**This role is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.
• Read interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specifications
• Arrange attend and facilitate a variety of meetings including weekly meetings at the project site.
• Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor.
• Review contractors baseline and progress schedules.
• Draft project related correspondence for NPS to review.
• Understand and document inspections during and post construction as well as mockup inspections
• Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress workmanship quality and conformance with contract documents applicable building codes and safety standards
• Deliver reports reviews evaluations design work etc. to CO.
• Review and process Construction Contractors RFIs and assist in resolution draft response tracking and follow up.

Required Education Knowledge and Skills:

• Educational degree leading to Construction Management Architecture Engineering or equivalent; AND5 years Construction Management Experience.
• Experience providing similar services for similar projects.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems prefered.
• Minimum of OSHA 30hour construction safetytraining required.
• Knowledge and experience with construction practices including applicable building codes applicable safety regulations
• Knowledge of cost estimatingwith breakdown of labor materials and equipment costs for proposed construction contract modifications.
• Ability to evaluate payment requests
• Ability to read and interpret plans schedules and other specifications.
• Written and verbal communication problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of software including MS Teams MS Word MS Excel Adobe Acrobat ProjectTeam Primavera MS Project and any other software programs typically utilized
• Qualified applicant must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced work environment.
• Ability to walk up multiple flights of stairs get onto and use scaffolding ladders catwalks and/or a lift to access and view the building walls and roof walk on the roof use a ladder and be tied off using a Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS).
• Maintain a valid drivers license.
