Southwest General Medical Group Inc. Primary Care focuses on providing excellent quality medical care for family members of all ages from newborns through seniors. Our boardcertified physicians offer compassionate comprehensive care including preventive medical care as well as acute and chronic care services. In addition to diagnosing and treating illness they provide routine checkups healthrisk assessments immunizations and screening tests. Our family practice physicians provide personal care and attention to each patient and work together with patients to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle and ensure their optimal health and wellbeing.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Advanced Practice Provideris a licensed professional who will function independently but provides care under the supervision of the Medical Director. They will plan implement and evaluate treatment in accordance with patient care standards and physician order as applicable. They will act as a liaison between the physician patient and family and collaborates with other health care professionals as appropriate. They may assist in the orientation of new employees and may participate in hospital or department committees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Nurse Practitioner:State of Ohio graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Physician Assistant:Graduate of an ARCPA accredited physician assistant program. Master degree preferred or eligibility for prescriptive authority under Ohio law.
Required length and type of experience:
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a physician office or hospital setting (experience in clinic setting a plus); Clinical skills required will be dictated by scope of services offered.
Must have strong organizational skills and communication skills with the general public in person and on the telephone.
Experience in the specialty area indicated preferred.
Required licensure certification or registry:
Nurse Practitioner:Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing
Physician Assistant:Current PAlicensure by the State Medical Board of Ohio
