Job Description

Under general supervision the Training Support Manager provides staff development and training courses through Graftons Training Department. Work involves consulting with program management staff and treatment teams to develop specialized training technical assistance and support to meet client customer and staff needs. Reports to the Lead Training Support Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Plans prepares for and documents training for new hires and internal transfers and maintains training files:

Checks weekly Onboarding Report and works closely with The HR Department to identify new hires and internal transfers. Creates an Initial Training Plan for each new employee and coordinates plan completion with other trainers. Checks to see if a transferring employee requires additional training or needs current assignments deleted.

Checks for accurate course assignments in Graftons learning management system (LMS). Creates new hire training file. Ensures materials are prepared for training. Fulfills Preservice training documentation requirements ensures Preservice training completed is entered into the LMS within one week; ensures all necessary hard copy training documentation is complete and placed in the employee training file in an organized manner; submits course reports for Mandt/First Aid & CPR for classes he/she teaches and for other trainers who are not in the Training Department. Monitors that each employee completes Preservice training prior to working with clients. Notifies Staffing Resources Coordinator (SRC) employees supervisor and program administrator when an employee fails to complete Preservice or another mandatory training as planned. Emails identified documentation of completed training for Ukeru Mandt FA/CPR ID Waiver and Medication Administration to the employee. When an employee terminates employment sends the training file to the Human Resources Department.

  • Delivers training:

Conducts Preservice training and other training assigned. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of content for classes taught. Utilizes effective training activities such as roleplaying games skills practice and relevant stories. Emphasis appears to be on each learners understanding of the content and to that end uses questioning and activities to facilitate learning and check for comprehension. Maintains training materials in an organized fashion and maintains condition of equipment. Models correct behavior and treatment techniques. Works with a transferred employees supervisor and SRC to ensure transferred employee receives necessary training by due dates. Informs the supervisor program director and COO of training of an employee whose conduct/attitude raises red flags as observed during the training period.

  • Monitors and supports training and training compliance for the region:

Utilizes reports from the data warehouse to stay informed of training compliance and scheduling needs for training. Informs necessary managers about training status and provides support to the region to keep employees in compliance with required training. Follows up with Management Team Staffing Resources Coordinator and trainers to plan and schedule more classes for a given training as needed to ensure compliance. Assists with internal and external audits by checking training files and inserting an updated training transcript from the LMS when needed. Is viewed as a support by the Executive Director Administrators Supervisors and Staffing Resources Coordinator. Attends Operating Team meetings as able to understand regional goals and identify/respond to training needs. Ensures a training attendance form is used for all training classes (exceptions Preservice Ukeru Mandt FA/CPR recertifications unless requested by SRC) and that the form captures the objectives and attendees of the training. Places training attendance forms in an Enrollment Forms folder/book established for a period of time typically the training year (fiscal year).

  • Provides input to the Lead TSM for the development of the new hire certification and recertification schedules:

Creates recertification classes for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1June 30) by end of April and presents to Lead TSM who will present to COO of Training Executive Directors and Human Resources VP for approval or revision. Enters class schedule into the LMS. Collaborates with Staffing Resources Coordinator and other trainers to ensure training occurs as scheduled. Arranges for training space for scheduled classes. Coordinates with Lead TSM to assure needed materials are available.

  • Assists with training development and delivery for the Training Department and the region:

Assists other Training Support Managers in developing and updating training material including online courses. Assists with the development of training requested by the region and approved by the Executive Director. Utilizes subject matter experts appropriate resources or training needs analysis approach to determine the need for or develop or revise training. Replaces training materials with updated versions and purges files of outdated versions. Utilizes updated versions in training classes by the date identified. Serves as Peer Mentor to new Training Support Managers. May serve as primary Training Support Manager for special training initiatives training development and implementation.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • May serve as LMS Systems Supervisor to create sessions assign courses and training etc.
  • Answers calls/requests in a timely manner.
  • Serves as a substitute trainer as needed.
  • Performs a variety of administrative support duties such as copying filing answering telephones ordering and inventory.
  • Serves in the AOC (Admin oncall rotation) as directed by the regional executive director

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in special education social work or related field;
  • Demonstrated experience in planning organizing and teaching instructional courses; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
  • Eligibility to become QMHP certified as an instructor preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% to support Grafton operations in Richmond and/or Minnesota

COMPENSATION

Starting at $51084 up to $75192 annually; commensurate with experience and qualifications
