Our client is looking for a Junior Production Planner to join their team. Our client is a manufacturing company that specializes in steel and metal fabrication for both prototypes and mass production. Their expertise spans a variety of processes including stamping laser machining and assembly for industries such as automotive masstransit railcar and motorsports.
The Junior Production Planner will be responsible for supporting the production team in organizing manufacturing schedules coordinating material requirements and ensuring timely delivery of products.
This entrylevel role is ideal for candidates with a background in supply chain operations or manufacturing who are eager to grow their planning and coordination skills.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in Supply Chain Operations Management Business or related field preferred.
12 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role is a plus.
Basic understanding of production planning or supply chain processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic office applications.
Experience with ERP or MRP systems (preferred but not required).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist in developing and maintaining daily weekly and monthly production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure material availability.
Support production workflow by identifying bottlenecks or delays and escalating issues.
Communicate with internal teams (purchasing logistics warehouse and production) to align on schedule requirements.
Update and maintain accurate data in ERP or MRP systems.
Track progress of production orders and ensure deadlines are met.
Assist in reporting production performance and schedule adherence.
Participate in meetings related to production planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
