Position Overview:

PKFMark III Inc. is seeking an Electrical Superintendent with 10 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical type projects who is familiar with electrical components including: mediumvoltage lowvoltage and industrial controls switch gear and protection schemes fiber optics and networking. Market segments include infrastructure such as transit heavy highway lighting and bridge water/wastewater plants and industrial facilities.

As an Electrical Superintendent candidate you should be familiar with the National Electric Code and be able to perform or figure out any calculations therein. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel as well as possess excellent technical skills. The ideal candidate is not only skilled and knowledgeable in his/her electrical craft but also in his/her ability to manage multiple crews and projects; to understand and orchestrate project goals and details; and to develop external relationships with clients and suppliers. Furthermore demonstration of strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects with multiple crews
  • Read/interpret technical drawings and plans to understand the projects electrical requirements
  • Demonstrate knowledge/ability of heavy industrial electrical concepts
  • Prepare electrical construction work plans including: conduit layout duct bank specifications equipment mounting and wiretagging
  • Perform calculations such as voltage drop conduit fill wire/breaker/transformer sizing etc. if needed
  • Review material datasheets and drawings for project compliance
  • Order and track materials needed for each project
  • Analyze control diagrams to verify operation and ability to troubleshoot if necessary
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure timely completion of all tasks
  • Visit sites to manage and oversee the conducted quality control audits

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience in the construction industry working on electrical projects
  • Handson field experience a must
  • Technical or Electrical degree a plus
  • Possesses a highlevel ability to manage project costs and labor controls
  • Has the desire to maintain and foster external business relationships
  • Is able to oversee field crews on multiple projects
  • Possesses a strong team player mentality
  • Keen awareness of industry recommended practices
  • Keen awareness of OSHA requirements
  • Understands QA/QC concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical license a plus
