Job Description
The AI platform is responsible for all AI infrastructure across Datadog. Our mission is toprovide tools and platforms that enable data scientists and engineers to conduct largescale training and inference with ease. We support products such as Bits AI LLMObs and all our AI research.
Youll join a new and fast growing team that is critical to the future of Datadog. You will support building and scaling the team help define our technical vision and help shape the roadmap. You will manage other managers and help define the future structure of our organization participating in the recruitment of the future managers and ICs of the department.
Youll work closely with partner teams in the AI platform organization ensuring a seamless AI development cycle. Youll also partner with the Applied AI org and with Datadog infrastructure & tooling teams to build out systems from the ground up.

What Youll Do:
- Lead a fastgrowing organization of 2025 people
- You will define the roadmap for your scope and work with ICs and managers to establish the technical direction
- Collaborate with the engineering team and product manager to define the future of the roadmap
- Create a strong organizational culture centered around our engineering standards and customer focused approach
- Support the whole lifecycle of AI development including model training serving deployment and monitoring
Who You Are:
- An experienced engineer with previous experience building ML/AI platforms and running MLOps
- You have designed built and launched AI Platforms from 0 to 1 with an emphasis on Open Source Tooling (i.e. Ray / AnyScale) versus pure outofthebox solutions
- A technical leader with a strong bias for delivery and impact and the ability to work through ambiguity
- A strong leader with good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholders and build strong relationships
- An experienced engineer and team player with strong technical skills to influence the technical direction of your teams
- You have aBS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience
