The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is seeking to hire a Site Superintendent II to manage the operation of Pullman Historic Site Florence Hotel Historic Site and Douglas Tomb Memorial. This position will assign and review work complete financial records and reports supervise and conduct research on the site for historic materials site restorations and program development implement media information with agency personnel represent the agency as speaker at civic organizations or public events coordinate and participate in the maintenance of site grounds facilities and equipment and ensure proper accounting and care of artifacts. The ideal candidate will utilize their supervisory organization and communication skills. DNR Agency Statement
Charged with preserving protecting and promoting Illinois natural resources the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) employees oversee water wildlife wetlands and oil wells parks historic sites and everything in between. Office of Land Management
The Office of Land Management (OLM) oversees nearly 400 individual parcels of land and institutes a wide variety of programs and activities advocating outdoor recreation through sustainable use conservation and preservation. The Historic Sites Division of the Office of Land Management oversees 56 Historic Sites Monuments and Memorials. OLM facilities activities from small group interpretive programming at Historical Sites to hiking hunting fishing boating and camping.
