Data Analyst

What will you do
Analyze design deliver and implement analytic development projects with the use of RBCs analytics tools
Ensure that project activities are accomplished within approved time frames scope and budgets
Apply data warehouse concepts and methodologies to various projects
Utilizethe latest technologies available designing and building data solutions to meet business needs
Be an active contributor to not only your individual team but to the RBC development community
Constantly seek out better ways to do things new tools new technologies new processes
Work on transformational projects delivering new value
Work as part of an agile team responsible for endtoend delivery of business needs
Use business domain knowledge to independently lead the analytics process to identify valuable and innovative insights
Promote analytics across the enterprise to enable RBC to become a datadriven organization
What do you need to succeed
Musthave
Currently enrolled at a Canadian postsecondary institution with a focus ondata sciencecomputer science mathematics statisticsmachine learning
Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
Creative and analytical thinker who is selfdriven and capable of working in a fast paced environment
Experience or understanding of opensource software frameworks (Hadoop) data visualization tools (Tableau and Splunk) and databases (SQL and/or VBA)
Programming skills in one or morelanguages (ex. Python R)
Ability to data extract transform and load processes with a variety of data types
Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders
Strong MS Office skills Word OutlookExceland PowerPoint

Proficient in building statistical and algorithmic models with complex and large datasets including but not limitedto:supervised statistical learning clustering natural language processing recommendation systems timesseries analysis experimental design (A/B testing) data visualization deep learning
Knowledge of design development and implementation utilizing current analytics technologies and architecture as well as data warehouse concepts and methodologies
Relational database concepts and design experience
Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business and in systems) quickly and apply new knowledge
