Job Description

Do you want to drive meaningful change in the lives of people living with psychosocial disabilities and mental health Join ICLA as an Allied Health Practitioner delivering positive behaviour support and therapeutic interventions to NDIS participants. In this role you will:

Spearhead the set up of our new therapeutic and positive behaviour support approach to NDIS participants

Join an inclusive and multidisciplinary team

Full time Permanent Hybrid role based in Surry Hills

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Allied Health Practitioner youll conduct assessments develop support plans and deliver evidencebased interventions for participants with complex needs. Youll help generate referrals collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and maintain NDIScompliant documentation. This diverse role combines clinical excellence with service development allowing you to create positive outcomes while contributing to our traumainformed personcentered approach.

This rewarding role is based from our Surry Hills office with flexibility in work pattern and to work from home where practicable. When travel needs arise for relationship building transport is available. The role is remunerated at $90000 $95000 per annum plus leave loading superannuation & NFP salary packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Generate referrals through service promotion and stakeholder engagement.
  • Referrals: Support the promotion and triaging of enquiries and referrals to ICLA.
  • Assessment: Conduct a range of therapeutic behavioural and functional assessments to support the development and implementation of positive behaviour support plans for NDIS participants.
  • Therapeutic Support: Provide therapeutic support services delivering both behaviour support and therapeutic interventions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with participants families support networks and other team members in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate and timely records and documentation in line with ICLA policies and NDIS compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare compliant detailed persuasive reports demonstrating traumainformed approaches and understanding of mental health and psychosocial disability.

ABOUT YOU

Essential:

  • Relevant qualification in occupational therapy psychology social work or similar.
  • NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework level Core or above.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience implementing effective therapeutic interventions incl. traumainformed and personcentered approaches.
  • Experience working with individuals living with psychosocial disability across SIL and community settings.
  • Proven track record of achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) including timely and accurate completion of all documentation.
  • Proven track record in networking with local service providers and government agencies.
  • Strong computer literacy across MS Office suite and CRM programs.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders from different backgrounds
  • Effective communicator and collaborator in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Analytical and detailoriented proficient in interpreting data and identifying patterns
  • Demonstrates initiative independence and strong time management
  • Critical thinker with a pragmatic solutionfocus

Desirable:

  • NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework level Proficient or above
  • Experience in Support Coordination.
  • AHPRA Registration in relevant discipline (OT preferred)
