Job Description
Our client is looking for both Junior and MidSenior Quality Controllers to join their team in Pietermaritzburg. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in food manufacturingparticularly within the baking sector. The successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining highquality standards in the production of baked goods such as cereals biscuits bread or pretzels. Candidates must be fluent in English and based in KwaZuluNatal as relocation is not considered.
Responsibilities:
Conduct and oversee quality control processes during production
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
Record and report nonconformances and assist with corrective actions
Maintain documentation and assist with audit readiness
Collaborate with production teams to promote consistent quality output
Operate and/or monitor specialized baking equipment (e.g. Jetzone ovens advantageous)
Requirements:
Experience in a food manufacturing or baking environment (e.g. cereals pretzels biscuits or bread)
For Junior role: foundational quality control experience and a willingness to learn
For MidSenior role: proven track record in quality assurance within a similar industry
Familiarity with Jetzone ovens is highly advantageous
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Excellent communication skills in English
Candidates must be currently based in KwaZuluNatal
