You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPerforms all CT procedures producing CT radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed according to established practices and procedures. Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
Follows established departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program safety environmental and infection control standards. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department such as evaluation results individualized treatment plans progress reports etc. Performs all CT Scan procedures obtains patient history explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Transports patients to CT Scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities. Selects and operates equipment as directed. Assists physician in administering medicines as required. Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. Performs venipuncture. Requests supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs current literature inservice meetings and workshops. Performs POC Creatinine testing including blood draw QC machine maintenance and competencies. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Experience Sufficient previous experience in a radiology department and in radiologic and CT procedures preferred along with thorough knowledge of radiologic and CT terminology practices and procedures physiology and human anatomy.
Education Associates degree or graduate of a radiologic technology program preferred.
Training
Special Skills Must demonstrate ability to recognize patients individual needs based on medical conditions age limitations and planned procedures.
License & Cert Current State License American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) or Registry Eligible
