Position Overview:

The IT Help Desk Technician will be part of the Service Desk team who provides outstanding technical support to our enduser community. You will be responsible for diagnosing troubleshooting and documenting technical issues through onsite and remote support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support through chat phone email in person and ticketing system
  • Triage and respond to all requests in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Document record and log work in the ticket system
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding of users
  • Maintaining inventory of IT equipment
  • Installation configuration upgrade and maintain desktops laptops notebooks printers mobile devices and cell phones
  • Assign file and folder permissions as needed
  • Support various technologies including Windows Desktop/Server/Active Directory architecture Microsoft365 Collaboration suite (Outlook/Exchange email Teams collaboration etc.) and Multifactor authentication

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma; bachelors in information technology Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 2 years work experience in helpdesk support
  • Knowledge of computer systems cloud applications and networks with various operating systems and solutions
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Customerfocused service orientation
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Proven knowledge of basic troubleshooting
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Security Certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • Ability to work offhours on call rotation schedule

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job the employee routinely is required to use hands to keyboard communicate listen to and interpret instructions and remain stationary for extended periods of the time. This would require the ability to move around the campus and occasionally move/lift items weighing up to 24 lbs.
