Job Description

Trauma Therapist

Unwavering Commitment! WE are looking for you on our team.

As a Trauma Therapist you will be responsible for providing psychotherapy services specifically EMDR to enrolled youth ages 13 17 years involved with the juvenile justice system who have experienced trauma anxiety depression substance use and other experiences they are struggling to recover from. You will partner with the Juvenile Justice system other MHMR programs and the family. Therapy focuses on reducing stress improving selfregulation and coping skills strengthening positive beliefs and increasing resilience. You will bring your knowledge training and skills in the areas of EMDR ACES trauma substance use disorder and parent child relationships. In this role you will ensure that all youth/ families are served according to their plan of care timely appropriately and in keeping with procedural safeguards rights and needs. The therapy focuses on reducing stress improving selfregulation and coping skills strengthening positive beliefs and increasing. Your goal is to support youth towards mental wellness and decreased involvement with the juvenile justice system.

Minimum qualifications: Masters Degree

Defined Education: Health & Human Services related field

Substitutions: None

Experience: 1 year practicing as an LPCA LMSW LMFTA

License/Certifications Current licensure in Texas as an LPCA LMSW LMFTA LPC LCSW or LMFT; preference Spanish speaking
