Job Description

THE POSITION

Are you experienced in the medical records field and seeking a new opportunity to join a dynamic team If so consider the position of Medical Records Director at the South Mountain Restoration Center within the Department of Human Services. In this role you will be essential in supporting our mission to help Pennsylvanians lead safe healthy and productive lives through equitable and traumainformed services all while responsibly managing commonwealth resources. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that every residents medical record is complete and accurate all while meeting critical deadlines. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role you will oversee the Medical Records Department taking full responsibility for the management of both active and inactive medical records in paper and electronic formats. Your duties will include developing and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation certification and licensure standards. Additionally you will play a key role in facilitating mandatory training for all staff and identifying ongoing training requirements to enhance departmental effectiveness.
