Job Description:
As an Engineer VIII on the RS3 UAS Contract you will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and guiding the development and implementation of advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS). This highly senior position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and extensive experience in leading complex largescale projects. You will take ownership of highlevel technical decisions providing leadership mentorship and direction to both senior and junior engineers. A Secret Clearance is required for this role to ensure secure operations within the contracts parameters.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Must meet DoD 8570.01M IAT II requirements.
- Minimum of 15 years of related job experience gained postdegree from an accredited institution.
- Engineers must have received their engineering degree from an accredited program of study.
- Scientists must have received a science degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must be capable of receiving guidance from seniorlevel managers/engineers/scientists and working independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee engineering efforts in support of the RS3 UAS Contract ensuring compliance with technical requirements project objectives and security standards.
- Take responsibility for the strategic direction of UAS projects driving technical innovation and ensuring the successful execution of largescale systems.
- Perform advanced technical analysis assessments and evaluations in areas related to UAS engineering.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to senior and junior engineers fostering technical growth and development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with overall program goals and mission success.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles methodologies and practices as they relate to UAS.
- Proven ability to lead largescale complex engineering projects and make highlevel technical decisions.
- Strong leadership problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record in performing advanced technical analysis system evaluations and contributing to the strategic direction of major engineering initiatives.
- Active DoD 8570.01M IAT II certification preferred.
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
