Job Description
Founded in 2013 Voodoo is a tech company that creates mobile games and apps with a mission to entertain the world. Gathering 800 employees 7 billion downloads and over 200 million active users Voodoo is the #3 mobile publisher worldwide in terms of downloads after Google and Meta. Our portfolio includes charttopping games like Mob Control and Block Jam alongside popular apps such as BeReal and Wizz.
Team
At BeReal we are dedicated to authenticity in social media. By encouraging users to share unfiltered moments we foster genuine connections and celebrate real life. We are now an international team of 60 and have 30M monthly active by Voodoo our team is fully focused on scaling BeReal into an iconic social network used by hundreds of millions.
Role
Weve built BeReal with a tiny technology team of worldclass engineers and we intend to keep this mindset as we scale it to hundreds of millions of users. To achieve this we ship new features faster than any other scaled social network while upgrading our infrastructure. We work in small teams of generalists and give each engineer high autonomy to make product related decisions.
- Take ownership of our products modeling pipelines
- Contribute to high modeling performance through insightful ideas and initiatives.
- Build and deploy quickly scalable ML systems.
- Promote good coding practices rigor and goodquality work.
- Engage with colleagues across the company to leverage new ideas and perspectives and demonstrate excellent communication to efficiently cooperate with product managers teammates and stakeholders.
- Deep dive into data to discover relevant insights.
- Build a rich understanding of the BeReal product the company strategy our productsand their fit within the companys daily operations.
- Be a team player by supporting your teammates and sharing with them your knowledge or new discoveries.
Profile
- Extensive experience building machine learning systems
- Strong background in building and optimizing recommendation algorithms
- Extensive experience with Python SQL and MLOps best practices
- Cloud experience needed (ideally AWS but could be another cloud provider)
- Airflow and DBT experience is a nice to have
- Excellent Communication in English and French mandatory to liaise with both a tech and business audience.
- You enjoy working in a team learning new things sharing knowledge
- Experience in a tech startup/scaleup is a plus
- Strong achievements on Kaggle will be valued
