The Accounting/Payroll Assistant is a new position at BRT and will report to Finance/Accounting.
This role will be an integral part of administration support for accounting and payroll. As part of
the Finance team you will assist the Controller/Payroll Manager in maintaining compiling
verifying and reconciling accounting records. Key responsibilities include but not limited to
performing accounting activities (accounts payable and accounts receivable) assisting with
payroll budgeting annual audit functions maintaining the accuracy of financial data and
periodic ad hoc requests.
Essential Responsibilities of the Accounting/Payroll Assistant:
Payroll duties: Backup to Payroll Manager process payroll.
Review check request and invoice for proper account coding and supervisor approval.
Filing invoices in different stages of production (received approved paid etc.).
Print and enter purchase orders and invoices.
Prepare monthly reports as needed for department managers/Accounting.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of Company budgets.
Communication with customers regarding AR reminders and past due communications.
Support and communication with employees regarding payroll questions.
Requirements of the Accounting/Payroll Assistant:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in accounting ERP and payroll systems is preferred.
Associates in accounting or related field or working toward a bachelors in accounting.
Minimum of 2 years experience supporting payroll and/or accounting functions.
Detail oriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Safeguarding confidential client/employee information.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support customers and fellow
employees.
