Description
Job Summary:
As a Data Engineer you will work with leadership to define requirements create reports and dashboards and is responsible for ensuring compliance of userdefined business rules. This includes assisting with specifying report data obtaining signoff from the requester/business owner(s) and providing the specified report on time.
Essential Functions:
- Help maintain optimal data pipelines.
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
- Organizing and transforming the data in a meaningful way and providing additional context as necessary so that it is easily accessible and ready for analysis
- Writing productionquality ELT code
- Developing and designing analytics projects as necessary
- Identify design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes optimizing data delivery redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability etc.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities AND/OR Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with AWS cloud services: DMSRDSEC2Redshift
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in ETL Data Lake and Data warehouse pipeline
- Experience with objectoriented/object function scripting languages: Python/Scala
- 4 years experience in a related role and a Bachelors degree in computer science.
