Position Summary
The MSPAS Program at North Central College invites applications to teach courses as a faculty associate during theacademic year. The successful candidate will teach one to two MSPAS courses or lab assistant per semester. The role requires someone who is a boardcertified physician assistant (PAC) or physician (MD) with experience in graduate physician assistant student education. A viable candidate can deliver course content contribute to the creation of assignments and other assessments evaluate and grade student work and hold office hours to assist students. MSPAS faculty associate (adjunct) appointments are on a coursebycourse basis. This posting is continuous to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. The position is a nonbenefits eligible fixedterm appointment with no tenure eligibility. The number of courses is contingent upon unit needs funding and sufficient enrollment. Minimum Required Qualifications: Masters degree in physician assistant studies or MD Unincumbered Illinois License All degrees must be from an accredited institution. A terminal degree is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Prior higher education teaching experience preferred Experience facilitating studentled classroom discussions Evidence of working with a diverse student population Evidence of effective collaboration skills Experience with technology/course management systems (e.g. Canvas) Excellent written and verbal English communication skills The review of applications will occur as the School has needs for a particular course .
