Job Title: Certified SitDown Forklift Operator
Location: Shafter CA
Position Type: Temptohire
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safetyfocused Certified SitDown Forklift Operator to join our team in Shafter CA. While the primary responsibility is forklift operation this role also requires flexibility to assist with production sanitation and general labor tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a sitdown forklift to move raw materials finished goods and equipment within the facility.
Load and unload trucks stage supplies for production and transport products to storage or shipping areas.
Assist in production activities such as material handling packing and quality control.
Support sanitation tasks including cleaning production areas equipment and workspaces.
Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
Maintain organized clean and safe work environments according to company policies and food safety standards.
Work flexible assignments in production or sanitation departments as operational needs require.
Comply with all safety protocols Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company procedures.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid forklift certification issued by Westec or another accredited training facility.
Minimum of 2 year of forklift experience preferably in a manufacturing warehouse or agricultural environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Comfortable working in varying temperature environments including refrigerated areas.
Flexible teamoriented and willing to assist outside of forklift duties.
Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
Ability to work early morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM and some Saturdays as needed.
