Job Description

Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Vehicle Operator for Mobile Mammography Unit position is to drive operate and maintain readiness of the mobile mammography vehicle used for onsite cancer screenings in a safe and efficient manner.
Performs daily vehicle pre and post trip inspections. Maintains requisite logs for the vehicle in excellent condition. Identifies all needs for mechanical repairs and submits vehicle repair orders in a timely fashion. Provides excellent customer services and patient satisfaction. Performs all duties in accordance with University Hospital Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Possession of a valid NJ commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement. Work experience operating a commercial vehicle is required. Two (2) years of related experience including one (1) year of experience in the operation of a vehicle that can carry (17) or more passengers. Must not have an accumulation of four (4) or more points under the NJDMV point system. Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills required to work with a diverse group of people at various position levels in the department. Must be able to communicate effectively with good verbal and written
English skills. Must maintain a professional demeanor and perform duties effectively in stressful/emergency situations
