Construction Management Representative

This bridge preservation project is located at Rocky Mountain National Park near Grand Lake and Estes Park in Colorado. The approximate onsite months are August October each season. This is subject to change based on weather. Season 1 (2025) work will occur on the west side of the park Grand Lake and season 2 work (2026) will occur on the east side of park Estes Park.

• Knowledgeable in paving and Constuction practices including applicable industry standards regulation codes cost breakdown estimating and negotiating and technical writing.
• Provide technical assistance and support to CO during construction.
• Read interpret and understand the construction contract plans and specifications
• Arrange attend and facilitate a variety of meetings including weekly meetings at the project site.
• Assist in resolving disputes that may arise due to the interaction between the construction Contractor and the Park staff including meetings documentation research arbitration etc.
• Document issues encountered and problems experienced with the construction contractor.
• Review contractors baseline and progress schedules.
• Draft project related correspondence for NPS to review.
• Understand and document inspections during and post construction as well as mockup inspections
• Inspect the work of the construction contractor for progress workmanship quality and conformance with contract documents applicable building codes and safety standards
• Deliver reports reviews evaluations design work etc. to CO.
• Review and process Construction Contractors RFIs and assist in resolution draft response tracking and follow up.

• Education and professional qualifications related to construction architecture and engineering.
• 5 years related Construction Management Experience.
• Paving and construction practices including sampling and testing requirements as identified in the attached plans and specification specifically NICETCT certification is required for concrete inspection.
• minimum of five (5) years of experience with the three phases of onsite quality control
• Minimum of OSHA 30hour construction safety training preferred.
• Knowledge of cost estimating with breakdown of labor materials and equipment costs for proposed construction contract modifications.
• Ability to evaluate payment requests
• Ability to read and interpret plans schedules and other specifications.
• Written and verbal communication problemsolving and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of software including MS Teams MS Word MS Excel Adobe Acrobat ProjectTeam Primavera MS Project and any other software programs typically utilized
• Ability to maintain a valid drivers license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced work environment.
• Ability to walk and climb stairs or ladders on a daily basis to observe and inspect contract performance.
• Prior experience working with Federal Government Project Managers/CORs on processing change orders requests for information submittals and field observation reports.
