With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp nextgeneration devices to volume production quickly and costeffectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. The LSSWIFT Division of KLAs Global Products Group provides patterned wafer inspection systems for highvolume semiconductor manufacturing. Its mission is to deliver marketleading cost of ownership in defect detection for a broad range of applications in the production of semiconductors. Customers from the foundry logic memory automotive MEMS advanced packaging and other markets rely upon highsample wafer inspection information generated by LSSWIFT products. LS (Laser Scanning) systems enable costeffective patterned wafer defect detection for the industrys most sophisticated process technologies deployed in leadingedge foundry logic DRAM and NAND fabs. SWIFT (Simultaneous Wafer Inspection at Fast Throughput) systems deliver allwafersurface (frontside backside and edge) macro inspection that is critical for automotive IC MEMS and advanced packaging processes as well as foundry/logic and memory fabs. LSSWIFT operates from a global footprint that includes the US Singapore India and Germany and serves a worldwide customer base across Asia Europe and North America.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Our intern will work in one or more of the following areas:
- Responsible for software development activities using Java C# or Python.
- Work with the backend team to meet and improve results on KLA products.
- Keenness to learn new technology and see how they can be a suitable fit to the existing product
- Handson experience in scripting data analysis and data visualization.
- Experiment with new and novel techniques to improve results or reduce time of various software actions.
- Build tools for more efficient experimentation.
- Developing software tools and solutions for KLA products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum commitment of 12 weeks/3 months duration as a fulltime intern over the summer with the ability and flexibility to work additional 3 months parttime during school
