The Inventor Designer is responsible for designing and modelling mechanical components and systems using Autodesk Inventor CAD software. Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design & Modelling
Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and systems in Autodesk Inventor.
Create assembly layouts fabrication drawings and bill of materials (BOMs).
Ensure design accuracy and alignment with engineering specifications and manufacturing processes.
Project Collaboration
Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Assist in design revisions prototyping and documentation updates.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements and manufacturability.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant standards tolerances and safety regulations.
Maintain organized project files and version control of drawings.
Support QA processes by providing accurate and complete design documentation.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering CAD Design or Drafting
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design using Autodesk Inventor
- Strong understanding of mechanical components assemblies and fabrication techniques
- Experience working in an industrial manufacturing or process engineering environment
- Proficiency in generating BOMs GD&T and technical drawings
