POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral scholar. The final candidate will perform a range of experimental modeling and analysis tasks to evaluate the utility of laser welding models for development transfer and process monitoring and control. The successful candidate will provide materials characterization and modeling support for a research group engaged in the study of metallic materials for advanced manufacturing processes. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering and should have experience in materials characterization numerical modeling and statistical analysis and welding metallurgy.
