Major Responsibilities:
Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
Develops/maintains course outlines syllabi lesson plans assignments tests and materials.
Maintains accurate student records grades and other requirements.
Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).
Interacts with students and coworkers in a professional and cooperative manner complies with College policies campus guidelines and expectations.
Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms labs and all learning environments.

A nursing faculty meets the credentialing standards by meeting each of the following:
The employee will be responsible for providing the required documentation of immunity to communicable/infectious diseases as required by our clinical agencies to the School of Nursing. Any exemptions to proof of immunity requirements must be approved by Ivy Tech Community College and clinical agencies. In addition documentation of current CPR certification BLS Provider (American Heart Association) or Health Care provider level (American Red Cross) shall be presented at the time of hire. Employees who are missing any of the requirements stated will be responsible for the cost of obtaining such documentation.
