Description

Responsibilities:

Assist the RD with all student staff oversight.

Contribute to the design and implementation of instruction on academic social cultural and recreational expectations during the afternoons evenings and weekends.

Maintain an environment conducive to learning while providing personal social and academic peer counseling to participants.

Guide and mentor Resident Advisors (RAs) and Teaching Assistants (TAs) in delivering student support.

Conduct nightly rounds to ensure the safety of all residents.

Enforce program policies practices and procedures to uphold a structured and inclusive residential community.

Serve as a first responder to crisis and emergency situations within the residence halls particularly when the RD is unavailable.

Attend weekly staff meetings and complete other duties as assigned by OP staff.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead advisor to RAs when the RD is unavailable.
  • Support the RD in coordinating TA and RA responsibilities.
  • Assist with recordkeeping and administrative tasks as delegated by the RD.
  • Maintain a quiet educational setting during evening tutoring hours.
  • Assist in coordinating daily meetings with staff before tutorial sessions.
  • Attend daily tutorial sessions.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Livein position for the fiveweek summer program including weekends and one week of training prior to the start of the SAI.
  • Benefits: Room & Board included.
  • Training: Required participation in virtual onboarding and oneweek oncampus staff training before the program begins.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate with a bachelors degree in Education Social Science Humanities or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a masters program in Higher Education or a related field.
  • Residential Life experience.
  • Valid drivers license.
