Job Description
Georgia Poultry Equipment Company a division of Hog Slat Inc. the worlds leading provider of parts equipment and turnkey construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking aService Technicianwith excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at ourCalhoun GAlocation.
Your customer base will include major integrators as well aslocal poultry operations in and aroundGordon County.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
- Work withGeorgia Poultrycustomers to understand their repair needs
- Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available atGeorgiaPoultrywith which their needs can be addressed
- Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities
- Properly bill customers for service work hours
- Work with theGeorgiaPoultryinstore team to manage warranty claims
- Take advantage of training opportunities offered byGeorgiaPoultry Equipment Companyand by its vendors
- personally monitor production of assigned jobs
- formulate a job schedule
- keep projects on or ahead of schedule
- monitor and maintain high quality of work
- troubleshoot installation/other problems as they arise
- ensure client satisfaction from the perspective of the actual work and job site
- periodically meet with the sales staff to review upcoming jobs and estimates
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:
- Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical plumbing and mechanical systems
- Approved safe driving record
- Familiarity with the poultryproduction industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred
- Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modernpoultry productionfacilities
- At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required
- Prior experience working with the systems found in modernpoultry facilities (e.g. ventilation feeding/watering heating) is preferred
