Job Description

Sapphire Utility Solutions are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor. Your role will be within the Commercial department working to maximise value and minimise risk and cost for both Sapphire and our customers. Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost ensure change control process is managed effectively.


This position is supporting is working as a support for the Traffic Management Division.


Key Accountabilities

  • Timely collation and administration of contract and commercial paperwork.
  • Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor and SUS Management Team with deliver of regular reporting of Management Information.

Key Responsibilities


Specific tasks/duties

  • Gathering collating and value works completed across multiple clients.
  • Ensuring Goods and Services are Receipted.
  • Gathering and collating Data Feedback / Measurement Track sheets from Supply Chain.
  • Administrating the Subcontractor Payments
  • Cost Value Reconciliation.
  • CashIn and Forecasting.
  • Ensuring Plant & Equipment Returns completed and returned to Head Offices functions.
  • Providing reporting support to the Senior Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • Supporting the Administration Notifications Change Events and Variations to works.
  • Submitting Applications for Payment to Clients.
  • Distribution of Cost Reports to Project Management & Operation teams
  • Weekly/Monthly Reporting cycles.


Training & Qualificationsformal education training or professional membership


Degree in a Construction / Quantity Surveying discipline

Microsoft Office proficiencies in particular: Excel Skills PowerPoint Word

Numerate and able to work with figures


Knowledge & ExperienceType and level required usually gained on the job


Experience in working within a busy office environment.

Business Administration.

Utilities / TM/ Construction Experience (Preferred)

Quantity Surveying / Accounting Background (Preferred)


Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Strong knowledge of contracts
  • Strong communication and inter personal skills
  • You must have the Ability to time manage and set priorities under tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and energetic approach to people and projects
  • Forward thinking and keen to develop smarter delivery of work
