Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and communitybased services.
This is one year part time or full time fellowship in Cardiac Pacing (2x 0.5 FTE or 1x 1.0 FTE). There are up to two positions available.
This exciting position offers training in all aspects of pacing (bradycardia cardiac resynchronisation defibrillator subcutaneous defibrillator leadless and conduction system). The Alfred is one of the highest volume CRM device implanting public hospital in Australia. There are daily implantation lists. The individual will be expected to lead research and quality improvement in their year at the Alfred. It is expected that the candidate achieve international accreditation in CRM device programming by the end of the year (CCDS EHRA or HRUK). The candidate will also be responsible in preparing patients for device implant teaching advanced trainees on the wards and participating in the outpatient clinic. There will be an expectation of supporting an Alfred affiliated regional clinic every fortnight.
Preference will be given to candidates who may want to persue a higher research degree in cardiac pacing.
Applicants must have completed at least three years of Advanced Training in Clinical Cardiology and have completed their FRACP (Part 2) or a recognized equivalent. Candidates will need AHPRA registration.
