The College of Engineering seeks a conscientious and energetic student to serve as aCareer& STEM OutreachAssistant reporting to the Director of Professional Development with other duties and responsibilities to support the College at large. This roleis an incredible opportunity to learn about professionalism meet a variety of employers and explore how to become a leader in higher educationCareerDevelopment & Employer Relations. TheAssistants responsibilities will include:
- Career/opportunities research using the internet Handshake LinkedIn and interactions with employers/industry/alumni;
- Drafting strategic communications via regularcareernewsletters social media and professional correspondence;
- Administrative tasks eventplanning meticulous notetaking and warm hospitality support for employer admissions alumni and professional development events.
The ideal candidate willdemonstrate strong organizational skills effective oral and written communication and be motivated to help other students explore and pursue diverse professional and educational opportunities.
This position is estimated to work 16 hours per week and may be Federal Work Study eligible.
