Job Description
Must be able to pass a 6G welding test. Able to read print layout and build vessel.
General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent above average communication and organizational skills. Above all must be a team player with high level of dedication. Piping and tester assembly basic botting and tore experience.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday; occasional bending squatting ascending ladders/stairways and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Ability to assess weights and judge distance and heights is necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Properly maintains all parts and equipment pertaining to specific work duties.
- Operates equipment used in welding operations including welding machine weld rod appropriate safety equipment hand tools and power tools.
- Accurately reads prints as required.
- Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedge or template to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Dismantles metal assemblies or cut scrap metal using thermalcutting equipment such as flamecutting torch or plasmaarc equipment.
- Climbs ladders or works on scaffolding as required.
