Purpose of Role
This is a joint position between areas of focus within the Office of the Vice Provost. As a member of the Title III Grant and IEAS team this position provides support for our Title III grant and administrative units in Academic Affairs. Specifically this position serves to provide support to the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) Instructional Design and several campuswide committees (e.g. Student Retention Data and Information).
About This Opportunity
Joining our Institutional Effectiveness & System Integration team the Grant and Data Coordinator for Title III and Operations Associate in Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Systems will be responsible for the following:
Title III Responsibilities:
- Assist the Title III Project Director in facilitating monitoring and tracking budget expenditures.
- Coordinate data collection and reporting system in collaboration with the Title III Project Director and external evaluators.
- Coordinate and support project implementation for the Title III plan for example; predictive analytics notes platform and accessibility tools.
- Collaborate on Title IIIfunded projects with departments across campus including but not limited to: IEAS Student Success Center for Diversity & Inclusion CETL and Natural Sciences.
- Collect and calculate data for the tracking system to monitor grant activities and progress in accomplishing objectives
- Work in conjunction with the Title III team on institutional projects to improve efficiency retention and assessment efforts.
- Research tasks as given by Project Director (e.g. data and information best practices comparative policies and procedures).
- Guide efforts in research recommendations implementation and support of student systems data and reporting infrastructure.
- Support management of federal grant requirements including but not limited to: coordination of JCCI consultant annual visits; coordination of steering committee; etc.
- Collaborate with the IR director in preparing data briefs for the project director Title III committee retention task force data and information committee and campus community.
- Collaborate with IR Director to develop implement and support ongoing predictive analytics.
Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Systems:
- Provide support for CETL programming and events.
- Work in conjunction with Institutional Research on key datainformed projects.
- Manage Course evaluations system; respond to HelpDesk tickets schedule administrations respond to and troubleshoot issues in the system and fix inconsistent data; meet with department representation.
- Process department purchases contracts and subscriptions.
- Coordinate office activities including but not limited to; greet all visitors answer and screen telephone calls; collect mail; document tracking as needed photocopy or scan as necessary; maintaining supplies closet;
- Develop office branding by creating event posters project websites et.
- All other administrative duties as required for the efficient operation of the IEAS department as assigned.
Fulltime thirtyfive hours per week twelvemonth position exempt staff occasional evening or weekend hours. This is an onsite position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in related field;
- Strong communication and organizational skills particularly in tracking information over time and creating summative reports;
- Strong writing skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google tools;
- Budget management experience
- The ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with students faculty administrators staff and the public;
- Ability to handle tasks without close supervision;
- Reliability efficiency and maintenance of confidentiality are essential.
- Previous project and grant management experience preferred.
