Position Summary
Perform Electrical and electronic trouble shooting and maintenance of the Can Manufacturing line throughout the plant. Assist to set up adjust and maintain automatic high speed complex end presses and related equipment in producing basic ends from coils. Shifts are 8 hours per day with overtime on weekends and holidays as needed. A strong work ethic and related experience in a manufacturing environment are required.
Essential Job Functions
Check schedule to determine need for change over or if scheduled maintenance is in order. Determine if schedule can be adjusted or permits time for overhaul repair or readjustments required by equipment.
Check machines. Analyze any and all types of mechanical operational or electrical troubles and plan for and take corrective action. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Perform or direct all maintenance wiring and installation of motors switches switch panels fuse boxes lighting testing and power circuits.
Determine proper size and specifications of wire conduit switches panels fuses etc.
Create and maintain uptodate layouts of electrical circuits.
Inspect and maintains all electrical circuitry and equipment to ensure proper condition.
Fabricate and install mounting fixtures and brackets on electrical and plumbing work as assigned.
Inspects and maintains gas mixers and auxiliary equipment as required.
Perform building maintenance pipe fitting carpentry cable splicing painting of shop equipment and related work as assigned.
Make up Material and parts lists and order as required.
Develop install maintain and troubleshoot PLCs equipment DC Drives and AC drives using laptop computers.
Assist in the maintenance of warehouse and conveyor equipment also assist in changeovers as instructed.

Essential Job Requirements
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or completion of an equivalent technical training program.
EXPERIENCE: 5 or more years.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must be a licensed journeyman industrial electrician.
Able to use read and understand Amp Meter Digital MultiMeters and Oscilloscope
Must have technical knowledge of AllenBradley PLCs and components
Able to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematic drawings.
Must have a thorough knowledge of industrial wiring motors switches switch panels fuse boxes lighting testing and power circuits.
Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical gauges recording instruments electronic sensing units and other related equipment.
Must have knowledge of state and local electrical codes.
Must have knowledge of PLCs and related programming.
Familiar with Allen Bradley systems VFDs PLCs hardware and software
Basic computer skills
PREFERRED SKILLS: Electrical Experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to push pull bend stoop climb walk & lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis. Good vision capabilities and good communication skills.
