Global Category Director Contractor Services Decatur ILThe roleAn opportunity has arisen for a Global Category Director Contractor Services based in Decatur IL. The main purpose of this role is to lead the Contractor Services Global Procurement team and manage the development and execution of their global category strategies. You will work closely with procurement executive leadership to ensure our overall procurement strategy is fully reflected in your teams work.
Your Responsibilities- Reporting to the Vice President of Procurement the main duties of this role will include:
- Define and lead the global procurement strategy for Contractor Services managing risk optimizing cost and ensuring availability of qualified resources to support business operations;
- Manage contractor sourcing including identification evaluation negotiation and onboarding of service providers across multiple geographies;
- Establish and maintain contractor rate structures conduct regular benchmarking and ensure alignment with market conditions and internal budgets;
- Collaborate closely with operations leaders to understand contractor needs forecast labor and service demands and align sourcing strategies with operational priorities;
- Oversee contractor performance management including the development and monitoring of KPIs service level agreements (SLAs) and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations including safety standards insurance requirements training and documentation;
- Lead crossfunctional sourcing teams and drive initiatives to leverage global and regional contractor spend reduce costs and improve service reliability;
- Maintain a comprehensive supplier and contractor landscape analysis including capability assessments historical performance and strategic fit;
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on contractor services procurement staying current with industry trends labor regulations and sourcing innovations;
- Promote Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices to build strong partnerships enhance accountability and deliver longterm value;
- Set clear goals for the global contractor services procurement team monitor progress and communicate successes across the organization;
- Foster a highperforming collaborative team culture focused on development accountability and delivering measurable results;
- Identify and lead global initiatives for process improvement cost reduction and supply chain resilience within the contractor services domain.
Your Profile- Bachelors Degree preferably in Supply Management Operations Business or Engineering. Master Degree in related field is preferred
- Minimum 15 years business experience with 10 years preferably in procurement (Contractor Services or related category)
- Extensive experience in the areas of business technical legal / regulatory geographic commercial and supply / demand
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage communicate and influence mid to senior level stakeholders (internal / external) and establish trust and credibility with business unit leaders and other functional stakeholders
- Experience leading and developing a global team
- Ability to develop and establish new ways of working and identify areas of opportunity for new business opportunities or cost efficiencies
- Extensive experience with planning preparation and including broad aspects when developing sourcing strategies
- Enjoys a competitive environment and has experience with highlevel complex sourcing strategies that deliver worldclass results
- Strong professional communication skills in English both verbal and written (fluent in other languages a strong plus)
- Familiarity with multiple sourcetopay systems (eg. COUPA Ariba Maximo) and ERP software (JDE SAP etc.)
- Global awareness (culture currencies geography and political)
- Professional Purchasing Certification
- Experience in Food/ Agribusiness industry
- Experience in LEAN Manufacturing Six Sigma and/or project management; Strong Project Execution is a must
- Familiarity with Esourcing tools (Ariba Bravo etc.)

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried nonexempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
