Job Description

Overview

Presbyterian is seeking a Cardio Testing Tech to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. Responsible for performing procedures with completed and documented competency within scope of certificationand Presbyterian Healthcare Services policy and under the direct supervisor of the providers. These providers include performing treadmill exercise tolerance test stress echocardiograms and 6 minutes walk test. Ensure patient safety through procedure protocols and policies.

Type of Opportunity: Full Time (1.0 FTE/40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8 hour days

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of cardiology / medical experience required
  • Must pass CCT within 1 year of hire date
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must have completed basic Arrhythmia course

Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete charges for all exams performed in Electronic Health Record
  • Review patient history to determine appropriate methods of testing. Obtain and doc routine vital sings.
  • Perform treadmill exercise tolerance and stress echocardiograms
  • Perform examination recognizing a variety of diverse types of dysrhythmias and tailor the stress exams based on the type if issues clinical sings and symptoms to ensure completion of the performed exam
  • Identify abnormalities during testing
  • Perform Electrocardiograms (ECG / EKG)
  • Other duties as assigned
